Important: This is not comparable to an injection-moulded PP or ABS bumper that is simply unpacked, painted and fitted. GRP bodykits require skilled bodywork preparation to achieve the correct finished result.

The kit retains the vehicle's standard body width and does not include the extended wheel arches used on the Cabaro II Widebody version.

GRP Preparation Requirements

Raw fibreglass components require considerably more preparation than moulded PP or ABS replacement parts.

Before painting, the bodyshop should expect to carry out work including:

• Repeated test fitting
• Panel and edge alignment
• Sanding and surface levelling
• Filling and refinement where required
• Edge finishing
• Minor trimming or adjustment where required
• Gap correction and positioning
• Final surface preparation
• Priming
• Final inspection before paint

All GRP components are supplied raw and unfinished and require professional preparation before painting and final installation.

Professional bodyshop installation is essential.

This is not a direct-fit PP/ABS bodykit and should not be approached as a simple remove-and-replace installation.

Correct installation involves an ongoing process of:

1. Offering each raw GRP component up to the vehicle
2. Checking alignment and mounting positions
3. Making any necessary minor trimming or adjustments
4. Refining edges and panel transitions
5. Sanding and preparing the fibreglass surfaces
6. Filling and correcting areas where required
7. Repeating the test-fit process
8. Establishing final panel gaps and alignment
9. Priming and preparing the parts for paint
10. Painting only once final fitment has been confirmed
11. Completing final installation and finishing
    

Do not paint the kit before the full test-fit and preparation process has been completed.

Once painted, correcting fitment issues becomes significantly more difficult and may damage the finished surface.

For the best result, installation should be undertaken by a bodyshop experienced in working with aftermarket GRP/fibreglass panels.

Because these are raw GRP body panels, customers/bodyshops should inspect the components and carry out the complete test-fit and preparation process before any primer or paint is applied.

The kit should not be judged against a finished PP/ABS injection-moulded component straight out of the packaging — preparation forms part of the professional installation process.
