Professional specialist bodyshop installation is essential.

A widebody GRP conversion requires considerably more work than fitting moulded PP/ABS bumpers.

The complete vehicle should be used throughout the preparation process so that the front arches, rear arches, door mouldings, bumper aprons and spoilers can all be aligned as one complete styling programme.

Preparation should include:

• Initial raw test fit
• Marking and establishing positions
• Checking wheel and door clearances
• Refining arch-to-body transitions
• Minor trimming where necessary
• Filling and surface levelling
• Sanding and edge finishing
• Repeated re-fitting
• Final gap/alignment checks
• Primer preparation
• Paint only after final fit is approved
